To provide research and information, representation on issues, programs, and staff and professional development for the 36 independent colleges and universities in North Carolina.
To generate income from lawyers' trust accounts in order to fund programs for the public's benefit.
To perform fine choral music, primarily masterworks with orchestra; to promote the choral art; and to enrich the cultural life of the singers, audience, artistic community and community at large.
To promote music as a fundamental component of education and to provide opportunities for lifelong learning by supporting teachers, students and communities in developing and fostering excellence in music.
To provide assistance to the members of the North Carolina National Guard and their families coping with unusual or unpreventable hardships.
To promote the appreciation and writing of poetry throughout the state, through readings, workshops, and annual contest, and special programs (at Weymouth Center for the Humanities, Southern Pines NC).
To promote a philosophy of independent living, including a philosophy of consumer control, peer support, self-help, self-determination, equal access, and individual and systems advocacy, in order to maximaize opportunities for individuals with disabilities and the integration and full inclusion of individuals with disabilities into the mainstream of society.
Charity and education.
We will teach classes about reproductive health, parenting, and child safety, and provide public car seat checks.
