Membership with the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits is for organizations with 501(c)(3) status that have operations in North Carolina; those groups in the application process for 501(c)(3) status; and grassroots groups not applying for 501(c)(3) status as long as the organization’s work is for the public benefit.

The Center is:

• A reliable resource on best practices for tax-exempt nonprofits
• A champion for the nonprofit sector and the public good
• An abundant source of confidential member assistance
