What is Nonprofit Management Institute (NPMI)?
The Nonprofit Management Institute (NPMI) is a research-based approach to capacity building for nonprofits.
What audience is NPMI intended for?
NPMI is a 6-session series that teaches the fundamentals of nonprofit management. It is intended for new/rising nonprofit leaders who want to build their capacity for leadership in the sector while simultaneously building the capacity of nonprofit organizations to advance their important missions.
Are the sessions virtual or in-person? What if I have scheduling conflicts?
NPMI is currently held virtually, and participation in as many of the six sessions as possible is highly encouraged. Sessions are engaging and active participation is expected (i.e. you will not be able to effectively multi-task during sessions). It is recommended that you commit to attending all sessions and that you miss no more than one session to get the most out of the series.
How is EDI represented in the series?
In keeping with the Center’s EDI initiative, we have infused EDI principles and practices throughout the series. We invite all participants to show up as their authentic selves as we collectively move from safe spaces to brave spaces.
