Smart Start is North Carolina's nationally recognized and award-winning early childhood initiative designed to ensure that young children enter school healthy and ready to succeed.

The LGBTQ Center of Durham supports LGBTQ+ people through services, programming, resources, and support networks that center their wellbeing and allows them to thrive.

To serve the needs of children and families in Rowan County by providing a community-based center that utilizes best practices in prevention as well as in the identification, investigation, prosecution and treatment of child abuse.

To create a future free of harm caused by HIV, STIs, viral hepatitis and drug use. 

Our MISSION is to EDUCATE, EQUIP and EMPOWER pregnant and parenting adolescents and their families to raise healthy babies.

Our VISION is building a strong community, one child at a time.

We mobilize resources, forge partnerships, and support families to improve early childhood health, education and development - all to help ensure children are prepared for kindergarten. Our four areas of focus are early care and education quality and accessibility, family support, health and early literacy for children ages birth to five.

Help, Incorporated: Center Against Violence seeks to: Improve the quality of life for victims of sexual assault, rape, domestic violence and dating violence throughout the lifespan by providing holistic services delivered empathetically to empower victims to make decisions that will enhance safety, increase self-worth, promote positive change, and eventually lead to self-actualization. Enhance the community's awareness of issues surrounding victimization.

The mission of the Charlotte Area fund is to identify and address poverty causes by providing programs and services that assist economically disadvantaged citizens with gaining the skills and abilities necessary to achieve self-sufficiency

Promoting social justice and health equity through partnerships between communities and academic institutions.

The mission of Koinonia Christian Center Community Development Center is to reach the community of Pitt County by providing holistic programs and services for seniors and youth.
